Headline Achievements

BBOWT established three Living Landscapes creating corridors
for wildlife between isolated protected sites on the River Ray, River
Thames and in West Berkshire.
Increased the total land managed for wildlife by BBOWT from
1,700 ha in 2010 to 2,589ha in 2015.

Chimney Meadows nature reserve extended by 11ha to make this
the largest reserve in Oxon.
Meadow Farm purchased in 2014, part of the Upper Ray Meadows
reserve and Upper River Ray Living Landscape. We now manage 10%
of the remaining floodplain meadows in the UK.
Unique Chiltern chalk grassland landholding was increased
by 13ha through the purchase of Yoesden nature reserve in Bucks,
protecting important wild flowers and butterflies.
13 nature reserves transferred into BBOWT's management by
local authorities; nine in West Berkshire and four in Buckinghamshire.
BBOWT is known as the 'go to' manager of public land.
